Now, I can imagine you think we’re all about helping you find the best gifts for travelers, and you would be right, kinda.
What started as a love letter to all things travel has now blossomed into a universe of gift guides, gifting tips, and DIY crafts that cater to every whim, passion, and occasion under the sun.
But don’t worry, even though we went broader, we’ve still got that passion for our gift guides!

By now, you probably get the point. The Best Travel Gifts is here to help you find the perfect gift for any recipient, hobby, occasion, and more. But I can imagine you’re wondering why you should use our site.

Now, you are probably also wondering who is gathering these ideas and what is she (yeah spoiler alert, I am female) getting for it? How can I know I can trust her?

But seriously though, how do I select my gift, and how can you be certain my recommendations aren’t biased and can be trusted?
Well, I’d give you my word for it, but I can imagine that’s not enough to convince you to buy a random gift for your loved ones. So instead, I created this extensive gift guideline that we follow for every gift guide. But in short, this is what we do.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY
Handpicked: Every piece of advice, every gift recommendation, and every witty line is handpicked and vetted by yours truly. We include only products we genuinely support, regardless of any compensation.
Regular Updates: Our gift guides don’t gather dust. We listen and we tweak our guides based on what you tell us (or what the data tells us). So, if something’s not hitting the mark, we’re on it faster than you can say ‘update’!
Ethical Policy: Yes, we get paid through affiliate links, but we never let commissions sway our recommendations. We also critically vet sponsorships to avoid conflicts of interest, and we only pick stuff we’d proudly give our own BFFs and relatives.

OUR STORY
By now, you’re probably wondering who is this we and I behind the site and how it all gets started. So let me share our story.
THE START
The Best Travel Gifts set sail in 2020. As a passionate traveler and travel blogger, I was working on a Christmas gift guide for travelers. The ideas kept flowing. I just couldn’t stop. By the time I had about a thousand ideas, I realized they wouldn’t fit in one guide. And that’s when the idea for The Best Travel Gifts was born.
The growth
Since then, we’ve crafted over 280 different gift guides, catering to every possible recipient, and helping over a thousand visitors a day. In March 2022, I left my full-time office job to focus on The Best Travel Gifts while also traveling the world. To meet our growing demands, we’ve enlisted more passionate individuals to help us maintain our high standards.
THE FOUNDER & AUTHOR
You’re probably wondering who that lady is in all these photos, so I guess it’s time to introduce myself properly. I’m Lara, a 29-year-old travel-lover (but who’s not these days?). I love reading, running, world-heritage sites, researching, and making lists, which comes in quite handy when you’re making travel gift idea lists.
Born in the cozy corners of the Netherlands, I now travel and petsit around the world. Basically, whipping up gift guides from wherever my backpack lands (which is Thailand, at the time I’m updating this page). Picture someone who’s a cocktail of clumsy, down-to-earth vibes, with a pinch of sarcasm, and you’ve got me in a nutshell.
